About the Concrete Ticket

The concrete ticket course provides guidance on the correct handling, finishing and curing of concrete on construction sites. It also provides essential information on the properties of concrete and the requirements for ordering and delivery of readymixed concrete.

Participants who take this course and pass the test can formally demonstrate training and knowledge of site workmanship (relating to concrete), as required by Irish standards.

The course was developed by an Irish Concrete Society education sub-committee and an industry representative user group.

About the Irish Concrete Society

The Irish Concrete Society is a not for profit learned society founded in 1973 to support and encourage technical excellence in the design and construction of concrete in Ireland. It is a cross-sectorial, independent, impartial, science and engineering based organisation.

The Society is governed by a Council of Members and the day to day operations are carried out by the Executive Officer. The Society runs a prestigious Annual Awards scheme, now in its 35th year, holds regular technical seminars and other formal education courses. A technical support service provides members with guidance on various concrete technology matters using phone support and an online database.
